Messaging architecture that sales actually uses

7 min read · Clara Strategy Team

Most messaging docs die in PDF purgatory because they are neither scannable nor actionable. Clara encodes messaging as modular blocks: promise, pillars, proof, objections, and channel variants—so updates propagate cleanly.

Promise vs. pillar vs. proof

The promise is one sentence about the outcome. Pillars explain how you deliver it (three is a sweet spot). Proof is evidence mapped to each pillar. If proof is thin, Clara recommends downgrading the claim or reframing the pillar.

Objection cards beat battlecards

For each major objection (“too expensive,” “too complex,” “we tried X before”), provide: acknowledge, reframe, proof snippet, and a next step. Reps win when they can navigate without inventing new logic on calls.

Channel variants without dilution

LinkedIn thought leadership can be more provocative than procurement emails. Clara keeps a shared spine while tuning tone per channel—so you do not fork into inconsistent brands.
